Abstract

The aim of this work is to study the correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection and coronary heart disease in patients with coronary heart disease diagnosed by angiography in studied population. This study was conducted on 35 patients diagnosed to have coronary heart disease by angiography 25 male and 10 female patients and 22 normal subjects as control group 13 male, 9 female subjects. Helicobacter pylori infection was determined by quantitative determination of Helicobacter IgG antibodies in human serum. The results showed H. pylori IgG antibodies was significantly higher in angiographically confirmed coronary heart disease patients than control group.
