Abstract

The goals of preemptive analgesia is to provide better control of pain and hemodynamics intraoperative, blocks surgical stress response and reduce postoperative analgesic requirements. It also helps to improve surgical outcome and decrease hospital stay. Using the epidural technique for preemptive analgesia in minimally invasive disectomy proved to be the most effective in preventing central sensitization and thus achieving the previously mentioned goals
