The electron microscopic study of the different experimental groupsshowed variable degrees of degeneration in the glomeruli and tubules withballooning of mitochondria and fusion of foot processes of podocytes andthickened of the glomerular basement membrane.Furthermore, histologicalexamination revealed that there was obvious improvement in group IV(Ethanol administration with vitamin E for six weeks) in the form of normalglomeruli and normal Bowman's space and normal thickness of Bowman'scapsule. Few glomeruli still showed slight shrinkage and slight widening ofBowman's space.
