Abstract

Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion using PRP and autogenous bone graft is a safe surgery and good alternative to treat low back and leg pain in spondylolisthesis. TLIF with PRP has good results in spondylolisthesis up to grade II. Our results showed that there is no correlation between reduction of spondylolisthesis and clinical results. Good results present in young patients and in patient with no disc degeneration. TLIF with PRP and autograft can be easily mastered, but a learning curve exists. We have experienced no difficulties with implant failure related to the use of pedicle instrumentation as a means of distraction. The exiting nerve root must be visualized throughout the procedure.
