Abstract

This is thesis study about the prognosis of cervical degenerative myelopathy after anterior cervical procedures upon 30 patients at a period of 12 months aimed by clinical and radiological assessment.Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is the standard approach for cervical myelopathy.The most important prognostic factors are the patient age at the time of surgery, the duration of symptoms and the pre-operative neurological state.There is no proportion between the prognosis of myelopathy and sex, smoking, cord signal, and pre-operative medical diseases.
