Hepatocellular carcinoma is considered to be one of themost common malignancies world wide. Its treatment is based on : transplantation ,resection, ablation, and embolization. .Transplantation remains the treatment of choice forpatients with early HCC; However, limited organavailability makes this treatment unavailable for mostpatients. The vast majority of patients with HCC are not suitable forany of the surgical treatment options; therefore, adjuvant, less invasive treatments have to be considered. Theseinclude intratumoral injection of ethanol or acetic acidand thermal ablation with RF, laser, microwaves, orcryosurgery.RF ablation (RFA) is a simple, effective, and less expensivetechnique with a low morbidity compared with surgicaltreatment producing significant long-term survival ratesand excellent local control and with low incidence ofmajor complications .
