Abstract

Many women suffer from postmenopausal syndrome due to deficient sex hormones e.g. estrogen. Conventional hormonal treatment are used to treat this symptoms until now and due to presence of high risk of occurrence of (breast and endometrial tumors) and venous thromboembolism, the non hormonal treatment is used now, which includes therapies e.g. (phytoestrogens, selective estrogen receptors modulators and tibolone) and non therapies e.g. (exercises, cessation of smoking and acupuncture). The recent researches concluded the effectiveness of non HRT in postmenopausal symptoms especially (osteoporosis, hot flushes and cardiovascular complications) and preventing or even decreasing the risks of hormonal treatment. Thus more researches are required to identify and use the non HRT of postmenopausal syndrome
