Abstract

Fascioliasis is becoming an extensive health problem in Egypt. Detection ofFasciola antigens is a better immunodiagnostic tool than determination ofthe antibody level. In the present study two techniques were used to detectantigens Sandwich ELISA and Latex agglutination tests. Sandwich ELISAtest proved to be more sensitive and specific; however Latex agglutinationtest had the advantage of being field applicable as it is easy, rapid and nonexpensive.
