The pathogenesis of the problem is not addressedenough in literature. It is almost always secondaryto trauma. The response of different structures ofthe nasal dorsum to trauma is different according tothe nature of these structures. Nasal bones yield totrauma in the form of fracture. Fracture can beeither unilateral inward fracture, or in-fracturedbone and out-fractured other or total displacementof the nasal root.
