Abstract

Thirty CHC Egyptian patients proved to be HCV-Ab positive and positive by PCR for HCV-RNA where evaluated for viral serotypes , level of PIII P , level of viremia and liver enzymes as predictors of response to IFN and Rib Therapy for six month .61.9 % of patients responded virologically and biochemicaly . Patients where grouped into three groups. 1) 52.4 % of patients have early good response. 2) 9.5 % of patients have late good response. 3) 38.1 % of patients have bad response. Both virological and biochemical tests are good predictors of response in IFN therapy in CHC.
