Abstract

In the presence of corneal opacity, goniotomy can't be done ,other alternatives are trabeculotomy , subscleral trabeculectomy or combined procedures. The idea of deep sclerectomy is to leave an intact trabeculo-Descemet membrane through which guarded percolation occurs to hinder the abrupt decrease of intra-ocular pressure with post-operative hypotony and associated complications. In our study we compared the efficacy and safety of trabeculotomy alone versus combined trbeculotomy and deep sclerectomy as a primary procedure in the management of cases of primary congenital glaucoma with corneal haze.Cases of our study were divided into 2 groups 15 eyes for each group.
