Abstract

Tibialis posterior muscle arises from the tibia and fibula and insert in the navicular bone. Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction is the main cause of adult flatfoot, and has several causes, classified into four stages. It can be diagnosed by clinically or radiologically, and treatment by either conservative or operative.
