Brain metastases are a common complication in cancer patients. In this work, 30 patients with brain metastases are evaluated, comparing the two main modalities of therapy: Surgery followed by whole brain radiotherapy and Stereotactic Radiosurgery preceded by whole brain radiotherapy. Results of both therapies, including efficacy, toxicity /morbidity and survival, quality of life and cost benefit will be compared and evaluated. The aim of the work is to determine the best protocol for management of patients with brain metastases.
