Abstract

Carcinoma of the urinary bladder is a major health problem and the most common malignant disease in Egypt, its endinicity is to correlate to bilharziasis. The most common genetic change in cancer bladder is the presence of p53 gene mutation. P53 acts as a sensor of DNA damage and when activated binds specific DNA sequence and regulate the transcription of associated genes that can secondarily result in growth arrest or apoptosis.
