Abstract

Photoaging is that sundamage done to the skin. The treatment of photoaging falls into two broad categories: Topical treatment and surgical resurfacing including laser; which becomes an important component of rejuvenation surgery. There are two types of lasers. One is ablative (remove the epidermis & superficial papillary dermis); with their potential complications. The other new one is non-ablative laser or light, which alters dermal collagen with preservation of epidermis, so it is an effective method of skin rejuvenation with minimal risk and no patient downtime.
