Abstract

Hip arthroscopy is a new addition to the orthopedics surgery. This is due to the ball and socket structure of the joint which makes it to the introduction of a probe without distracting the joint impossible. After solving this problem, hip arthroscopy is now frequently performed as a diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedure with promising results. Loose bodies, labral tears, and unresolved hip pain are examples of the indications. Contraindications and complications of hip arthroscopy are few and none is grave.
