Abstract

The aim of our study is to find a role of EBUS in the differentiation between malignant and non malignant lesions in peripheral lung shadows. The study included 45 patients presented with radiological evidence of peripheral lung shadow. The study correlated the EBUS images of peripheral pulmonary lesions, with the final diagnosis to develop a classification system of sonographic images to distinguish malignant from nonmalignant lesions. Five EBUS image criteria were included in this study.
