Abstract

The current work has been designed as a cross sectional study intending towards assessment of the effect of hemodialysis in CRF patients on QT interval. Beside the general and informative information, the study focus on statistical data for assessment of QT interval changes before and after hemodialysis including QT interval, QTc and QT dispersion (which predispose to various types of arrhythmia and sudden death ) and the effect of electrolytes and other data on the QT interval. Few data and studies are available on the relation of hemodialysis and ECG changes in QT interval, therefore more in-depth studies are needed to study the relative changes in QT interval in hemodialysis on a large sample size, and a record sheet for each patient on hemodialysis including ECG is needed for follow up of patients.
