Abstract

Rotaviruses are the most important cause of diarrhea in infants and young children worldwide,Our study included a series of one hundred and thirteen patients with diarrhea. The aim of this work was studing the clinical spectrum of Rotavirus infection in neonates and children and to asses the new simple test for detection of Rotavirus.Rotavirus was more prevalent in our group of neonates with even a higher burden of infection compared to children and found the simple test was less sensitive and specific than the ELISA.
