Abstract

Multidrug resistance (MDR) results from over expression of MDR1 gene and production of increased amount of (Pgp), which pumps the chemotherapeutic drugs outside the cells. Cyclosporine A inhibit Pgp action. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of CsA as a drug resistance modifier by clinical and radiological assessment of the tumor and of its toxicity for 30 patients. Conclusively, CsA is recommended to be used.
