Objective: To study the vestibular examination profile of dizzy patients attending the audiology outpatient clinic. Methods: 110 patients (40 male and 70 female) presenting with vertigo or dizziness, selected from the audiology outpatient clinic, were subjected to careful history taking, bedside evaluation, general investigations and vestibular testing. Results: The prevalence of dizziness increases with age, higher in female than males and more with stressful lifestyle. The prevalence of non-vestibular causes is higher than vestibular causes. The prevalence of BPPV was high, with apparent involvement of the posterior semicircular canal. Conclusion: Dizziness is a common, chronic and often untreated symptom.
