Abstract

Bladder cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in Egypt, tumor markers of high sensitivity& specificity in detecting cancer bladder have become available, this study was conducted on 80 subjects, divided into:4 groups: group І ( invasive bladder cancer), group Ц ( superficial bladder tumors after transurethral resection), group Ш ( other urologic conditions, group ív : healthy subject, All the subjects were subjected to the estimation of urinary NMP22, FDP, urine analysis & urine cytology and it was found that: urine cytology can be used as a screening test for detection of bladder cancer, urinary NMP22 is promising tumor marker which may be used as a supplement to cystoscopy.
