Recurrent first trimestric abortion is defined as occurance of three or more clinically recognizable lossses consecutively and spontaneously before 12 weeks gestation. Unexplained recurrent first trimestric abortion which represents 50% is diagnosed by exclusion of causes of recurrent first trimestric abortion which includes antiphospholipid syndrome, chromosomal abnormalities …etc. Evaluation of recurrent first trimestric abortion includes careful history taking, physical examination and investigations as ultrasound, antiphospholipid antibodies. Treatment includes psychological support, leukocyte immunization, immunoregulatory therapies and immunoglobulin.
