Abstract

Statistical analysis of data of 413 patients with Congenital hypothyroidism following up in DEMPU, Cairo University showed that, the prevalent cause of congenital hypothyroidism was agenesis (42.8%) followed by thyroid ectopia (29.1%) and dyshormonogenesis (23.7%).Study of 30 patients showed that, prevalence of dysmorphic features was 33.3%, cardiovascular anomalies detected by echo was 20%. Associated congenital anomalies detected by U/S examination were 6.7%
