Socket surgery is mandatory in some patients to treat the diseased globe, to savethe other eye or even to save the patient’s own life. With the evolution of theorbital implants, both good functional and cosmetic appearance can be obtained.A new technique “purse string suture” is done to approximate the four recti afterprimary enucleation and primary ball implantation in a prospective study of tenpatients and the outcome is observed regarding post-operative complications andimplant mobility.
