Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita is a rare congenital anomaly. It presents with multiple joint contractures and deformities of the upper and lower limbs. Upper limb deformities are in the form of shoulder internal rotation, elbow extension, wrist flexion and ulnar deviation, thumb in palm deformity, and finger flexion contractures. Treatment involves both non-surgical and surgical measures with early intervention reported to give good results with regard to improvement of upper limb function in these children.
