Abstract

Disorders of skeletal muscle, peripheral nervous system, andneuromuscular transmission are collectively called neuromusculardisorders. It is important for anesthesia, that these disorders showvarious symptoms and have high risk during general anesthesia.Especially administration of succinylcholine and volatileanesthetics may cause problems. Also opioids, non-depolarizingmuscle relaxants, and intravenous anesthetics can interfere withthis kind of disorders.
