Selective laser trabeculoplasty is a relatively safe and effective procedure for the treatment of POAG, OHT, and some of the secondary open angle glaucomas such as pigmentary and pseudoexfoliative glaucoma.The treatment can be applied as both a secondary treatment profile following poor control on maximum tolerated medical therapy and as a primary treatment.
