Abstract

Hyperhomocysteinemia is prevalert in haemoctialysispatients. Patients with abnormal perfusion scintigraphy haselevated HCY and CRP. In asymptomatic hoemodialysispatients gated SPECT is a safe and non-invasive screeningtechnique for the detection of coronory artery disease. Thepresence of ischaemia correlates significantly with markers ofinflammation, presented by CRP and with elevatedhomocysteine level.
