Abstract

Sever sepsis and septic shock are seriousmanifestations of infection. Mortality rangesfrom over 30% in sever sepsis up to 60% inseptic shock. Resistin was significantly increased in patientswith severe sepsis or septic shock, increasedlevels of resistin were found in patients withseptic shock compared with those with severesepsis.
