Abstract

This work aimed to study the effect of stem cell therapy on ischemic limbs of patients not eligible for arterial reconstruction or endovascular procedures. This was a prospective comparative study in which the patients are divided into 2 groups: transplant group and control group. Each group includes 12 patients. After 3 months, transplant group patients had the following clinical changes. There was a significant increase in the pain free walking distance from 25 ± 29 m to 208.33 ± 125.4 m. there was a significant improvement of rest pain scale from 6.42 ± 2.15 to 1.67 ± 3.89 and significant increase of ABI from 0.45 ± 0.32 to 0.62 ± 0.38.
