Patients with chronic viral hepatitis with or without cirrhosis exhibits several pulmonary complications as pulmonary vascular complications in the form of hepatopulmonary syndrome, porto-pulmonary hypertension and intrathoracic portosystemic collateral vascular pathways.Pulmonary parenchymal lesions observed in the form of compression atelectasis, pulmonary infection mainly pneumonia, lung metastases in cases of hepatocellular carcinoma and interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. Pleural lesions also were observed mainly in the form of hepatic hydrothorax and others as pleural thickening and pyopneumothorax. The last finding was the mediastinal lesions in the form of inflammatory or neoplastic lymph nodes.
