The anterolateral thigh (ALT) pedicled flap is a reliable flap based on perforators of the lateral circumflex femoral system. It can be harvested as a fasciocutaneous or muscle flap or myocutaneous flap. The flap has got a lengthy pedicle with a liberal arc of rotation allowingit to cover defects over the groin, perineum, trochanteric region, medial aspect of the thigh and knee .Also it has a promising role in phalloplasty. The study included 20 patients in which 21 pedicled ALT flap was done to cover defects over the groin, trochanteric region, lateral thigh region and knee joint and phalloplasty.
