Stretch Marks is a common skin condition found in population and is also known as striae distensae. They are charachterized by linear dermal scars accomparied by epidermal atrophy. Skin distension (as in preynancy and puberty), prolonged use of topical or oral corticosteroid, prescence of cushing , and also genetic factors all lead to development of striae. Many modalities of treatment are available for stretch marks including : topical treatment, chemical peel, Mesotherapy, Dermabrasion, and micro dermabrasion, laser treatment, radiofrequency, UV-B irradiation and even more surgical methods.
