The assessment of pulsatile masses in relation to the arteries of the lower limbs can be performed rapidly and easily using color duplex scan. The differential diagnosis of palpable masses in close proximity to arteries is a wide one. The possible etiologies include lymph nodes, lipomas, ganglia and rarely neoplasms.
