Nutrition plays a major role in prognosis and management of critically ill patients, enteral nutrition is preferred than parenteral nutrition to preserve gastrointestinal mucosa and perfusion and to avoid complications of parenteral nutrition, so parenteral nutrition can given if enteral nutrition is contraindicated. Special attention should be given to some patients especially liver and kidney patients regarding their feeding formula.
