Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain cardiovascular risks, morbidity and mortality in renal transplant recipients, also its effect on progression of LVH after transplantation, and it was designed to assess the cardiovascular complications in children with renal transplant. The study included 21 children with end stage renal disease either on hemodialysis(66%) or on conservative treatment(33%) and who did renal transplantation. We found the occurrence of left ventricular hypertrophy and bad myocardial performance index in 24% of patients before transplantation and after 6-8mo myocardial performance index, improved from pre transplantation but left ventricular hypertrophy still present or even increased . Also we were evaluating the associated risk factors like dyslipidemia in 33% of our patients. Also >90% of our patients had systemic hypertension 6 months after transplantation
