Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women. It involves a precious part of the women's body. Dealing with such a disease must take into consideration her quality of life as well as her cure. Patients with early-stage breast cancer (stage I and II) have two surgical options: breast conservative therapy or mastectomy with or without reconstruction. This work study the incidence of conservative breast surgery in treatment of breast cancer in 100 consecutive Egyptian women admitted at Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital and to demonstrate why modified radical mastectomy done instead of conservative surgery in some patients (if it is indicated ,preferred by some surgeons or by the patient)?
