Objectives:Assess the safety and clinical effectiveness for initiating insulin pump integrated with RT-CGM compared to MDI therapy.Methods: The study included 10 patients with T1DM who were treated with MDI, their glycemic control was evaluated by CGMS and then shifted to CSII integrated with RT-CGM and their glycemic control was re-evaluated.Results:Significant improvement in glycemic control was achieved by insulin pump as compared to MDI, also a lot of missed data appeared by the use of CGMS compared to SMBG.Conclusion:CGMS and CSII in the terms of glycemic control are superior to SMBG and MDI regimens and are emerging as interesting devises in the management of diabetes.
