Abstract

IDDM is one of the most frequent chronic diseases of childhood,Studies show that many if not all of the complications of diabetescan be slowed Or even prevented by better management , thus weneed to narrow the gap between what is known to be effective indiabetes care and the care that is currently provided throughassessment of the diabetes clinic.This study is retrospective, analytic, randomized that will includea random sample of 1000 diabetic patients conducted in Abo ElResh Diabetic Endocrine Metabolic Pediatric Unit from December2006 to August 2007.the study sample included Medicalparameters:‐HbA1C, Anthropometric measurement, liver function,Lipid profile, microalbuminuria ,thyroid profiles, fundusexamination, CBC,ECG.We found that the HbA1C done to 87.9% of patients, liverfunction to 74.3%, Lipid profile to 73.2%, microalbuminuria to82.9% , thyroid profiles to70.5% & fundus , CBC, ECG, urineanalysis, not done for many patients and only 8.2% of patientsmeasured to them blood pressure.
