Two groups of CRF patients with no evidence of coronaryartery disease were studied : Group A: Chronic renal failure patients on regular haemodialysisGroup B: Chronic renal failure patients stage 4-5 on conservativetreatment. For all patients serum cardiac enzymes were measured and resultsrevealed that the level of cardiac troponin I was higher than normalin both groups, and insignificantly higher in group A than in groupB. Level of serum cardiac enzymes CK, CK-MB and LDH wereinsignificantly higher in group A than group B.
