Thyroid dysfunction is associated with changes in cardiac contractility, myocardial oxygen consumption, cardiac output, blood pressure and systemic vascular resistance. The aim of this study was to assess the echocardiographic abnormalities in patients with thyroid dysfunction.The study included 20 hypothyroid patients, 20 hyperthyroid patients and 10 healthy persons as control, for which thyroid profile assessment and echocrdiographic examination were done.
