Abstract

The use of evoked potential studies, MRI and laboratory parameters ina case of multiple scleroses are essential, being complementary to eachother in establishing the diagnosis.serum C3 & IgM index could be used as an early diagnostic marker fordisease activity. The estimation of C4 has a little value, while ATT isnot one of the acute phase reactant involved in the pathogenesis ofmultiple sclerosis. IgG index calculation is far more superior than IgGserum or CSF levels in supporting The diagnosis. We advise the use ofCSF TNFα1 as one of the early diagnostic markers of the disease aswell as to predict the activity of diagnosed cases. In addition, it couldbe used as a possible guidance in choosing the appropriate therapy.CSFIL1 could be used as a marker of disease activity.
