In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) programs are always seeking to achieve better outcomes and to eliminate the complications associated with IVF through improvement of the present techniques and application of the new techniques. The past few years have witnessed remarkable progress in intracytoplasmic sperm injection, cryopreservation, embryo micromanipulation techniques and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, in addition to the development of recent techniques including techniques of in vitro maturation of oocytes, oocyte reconstitution and blastocyst transfer.
