Comparative study between two groups : 20 cases diagnosed to have polycystic ovarian disease and the second group included 20 fertile ovulatory women. Methods: Doppler analysis of the uterine arteries and ovarian stromal blood flow was performed by transvaginal ultrasound in these two groups of patients. Ovarian volume was significantly higher in cases than control with increased level of LH and FSH\ LH in cases of PCO and uterine PI was significantly higher in cases than control while there was statistically insignificant difference between cases and controls as regard right ovarian PI, Left ovarian PI and left ovarian RI. There is no statistical significant difference between the body mass index and uterine artery indices and ovarian artery indices in obese and lean cases. Conclusion: Doppler examination may be useful for the evaluation of PCOS patients, in addition to conventional hormonal and biochemical parametersthat may contribute to a better understanding of the complex pathophysiology of PCOS
