Abstract

Both trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal ultrasound showed a strong, positive and statistically significant correlation with the actual thickness of lower uterine segment (rs = 0.97; P <0.00). The best correlation was for women who had undergone ≥ 3 C.S (rs= 1.00) in both transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound measurements. Although data from the present study demonstrated the superiority of TAS over TVS for the assessment of LUS thickness.
