Abstract

In childhood epilepsy, generalized epilepsy is considered to be more common than partial epilepsy, However, severe intractable epilepsy of focal type is common. The present study aimed to evaluate focal epilepsy in childhood as regards clinical features, ictal description, etiological factors, EEG & neuroimaging. 25 patients were selected, complete history taking, neuroimaging, EEG and lab. patterns were done. Motor & language deficits, mental deterioration and learning problems were common. Perinatal insults head trauma was common etiological factors.
