Abstract

OCT is a useful tool in examining the anterior segment of the eye at microscopic resolution. It can be helpful in to image and measure complex details of corneal pathologies. OCT is of value in studying biometric modifications of the anterior segment particularly implantation of refractive lenses.By the slit lamp adapted OCT the chamber angle can be visualized without using a gonioscopy lens. OCT images for the sclera, scleral spur, the iris pigment epithelium or hazy media can be generated by a handheld applicator.OCT imaging of the lens, capsular bag. Also OCT shows its benefits in cataract grading and after cataract surgeries.
