Liver is the target organ of many infections, especially HBV and HCV which results in chronic inflammation and development of HCC. This study was conducted on 70 cases, 60 patients with liver disease, they were classified into 4 group (Benign, cirrhotic, HCC without metastases and HCC with metastases) and 10 apparently healthy control subjects. Serum level of the four markers was elevated in HCC group with and without metastases when compared to the other group. A statistically significant reduction in the level of the four markers was found in HCC patients after treatment.
