Abstract

Patients and Methods: The study was conducted on 50 eyes of 50 patients attending during the first two weeks of onset of retinal vein occlusion. Moreover 25 age and sex matched cases were served as control.Results and conclusion: BRVO is statistically significantly associated with: increased age, systemic hypertension, increase IOP, shorter axial Length, elevated cholesterol, TG, HDL, and LDL, diabetes mellitus, ESR, increase haemogloben percent, RBC, WBC, and platelets, and statistically insignificantly associated with male sex, uric acid, APA. Also, CRVO is statistically significantly associated with: increased age, male sex, systemic hypertension, increase IOP, shorter axial length, uric acid, ESR, elevated cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL, diabetes mellitus, increase haemoglobin percent, RBC, WBC and platelets and statistically insignificantly associated with APA.
